eureka! for English speakers.
September 14th
After a few days' holiday in Istambul, I finally met up with Karen at the church Saint Louis des Français. We were so glad to see each other again! We hadn't been together since Sofia, Bulgaria. We spoke about our experiences so far, and finalized our route for the rest of our trip. A problem remains: an ingrown nail needs a few more days rest before leaving.
Fortunately, there's a lot to do and see: (see the pictures!!) visits, meals with sisters from Asia, with Blandine and Alix (I already met in France),with 3 German cyclists (among which Thomas I met in Bulgaria)... Long live Franco-german friendship! tonight, Turquey (the country, not the one you eat for thanksgiving) offers us some tea. But I mainly stay with the franciscan brohters Gwenole, Euleuhtere and Ruben.
On the last 4 pictures, you'll see me tidying up the library and translating the notice of a caramel dessert (think hard!!). I also met Genevieve and François, who are walking from Le Puy, in France, to Jerusalem. This morning was ... something I can't say in English!! "fête de la croix glorieuse au partiarcat grec orthodoxe" (do you have the slightest idea?). I also got rid of my 3 dear dresses, which were too short, and went shopping! (but what she bought, she didn't say!)
